If a transmission cold, level of oil has to be between two bottom labels, and at a hot box – between two top labels.

Oil level in an automatic transmission – an important operational indicator. It is not allowed both low, and high level of oil.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Carry out a short trip on the car to heat up transmission to normal temperature.

2. Establish the car on an equal horizontal surface. Idling the engine, the tightened hand and foot brake, move the selector handle on all positions and return to a starting position (Park). In this position of the selector and the engine idling, take щуп for measurement of level of oil and at the same time with a mark of level estimate an oil condition.

3. Wipe щуп and establish it into place.

4. Repeatedly take щуп and measure oil level. If a transmission cold, level of oil has to be between two bottom labels on щупе. If the transmission is heated-up to normal working temperature, level of oil should be between two top labels on щупе.

5. If oil level low, add it through an opening for щупа. The distance between labels corresponds to about 1 l of oil. Add oil in the small portions. If black or brown, oil it is necessary to replace color of oil. If you doubt quality of oil, compare a sample of fresh oil and the oil being in a transmission.
