Use of a steel core for installation of the relay of an overload in a starting position


The relay is elektronno the operated switch which is usually used as follows:

– the relay can switch big currents distantly from a chain in which this current flows, allowing to use thinner wires and contacts of switches;
– the relay can have more than one managing director of an entrance unlike the mechanical switch;
– the relay can carry out timer function, for example, to set an interval of work of screen wipers.

For protection of some electric chains (electric window regulators, locks of doors, headlights) the overload relay is used. At considerable excess of a consumed current, the automatic relay of an overload for short time will disconnect a power-supply circuit of the consumer, however for working capacity restoration some relays of an overload are necessary for including manually. For this purpose remove the relay of an overload and from contacts insert a steel core into an opening of repeated installation and press a clamp before click (see fig. Use of a steel core for installation of the relay of an overload in a starting position).

If the system operated by the relay, fails, and a cause of defect, probably, the relay is, listen to operation of the relay at the included system. If the relay regularly works, you should hear click at its inclusion. If the relay is serviceable, the cause of defect is concluded in elements or connecting wires. If the relay does not work, it means that it does not receive the main power supply either an operating impulse, or the relay is faulty.
