10.4. Adjustment and replacement of a cable of a choice of transfers

10.4.1. Adjustment
GENERAL INFORMATION

When moving the lever of a choice of transfers from neutral it should move to other provisions smoothly and accurately be fixed. Thus the indicator of position of the lever should indicate the correct position of the lever. If the indicator does not show the correct position of the lever, adjust a cable of a choice of transfers as follows.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and fix on supports. Remove mudguards.
2. Weaken a nut of fastening of a sharnirny bolt of a cable of a choice of transfers on the lever of a choice of transfers of a transmission.
3. Move the lever of a choice of transfers against the stop down, then return it on 2 provisions back and establish in neutral situation.
4. Establish the lever of a choice of transfers in car salon in neutral situation.
5. Tighten a nut of fastening of a sharnirny bolt of a cable of a choice of transfers on the transmission lever.
6. Check transmission action in each position of the lever of a choice of transfers. At engine start the starter should work only in the position PARK or NEUTRAL of the lever of a choice of transfers.
