5.5. Check and thermostat replacement

5.5.1. Check
GENERAL INFORMATION

In the presence of defects in system of cooling check level of cooling liquid and operability of the index of temperature.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If after start the engine gets warm very slowly, that, probably, the thermostat is in constantly open situation, and it is necessary to replace it.
2. If the engine overheats, a hand check температу ру the top hose of a radiator. If the hose cold, that, probably, the thermostat is in a closed position and does not pass cooling liquid to a radiator. In this case the thermostat also is subject to replacement.
3. If the thermostat is in open situation at room temperature, it is subject to replacement.
4. For check of the thermostat lower it on a twine in the container with water. Gradually heating up water, notice temperature at which the thermostat starts to open and completely will open. Take the thermostat from water and check, that it was completely closed after cooling. Replace the thermostat if its parameters differ from technical requirements.
