6.4.3. Check of a regulator of pressure of fuel

GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of the switching vacuum valve (VSV) on the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect from a regulator of pressure of fuel a vacuum hose and instead of it connect the manual vacuum pump with a manometer. Start the engine and measure pressure of fuel without the vacuum submitted to a regulator of pressure. The manual vacuum pump create depression and repeatedly measure pressure in fuel system. At increase in the vacuum enclosed to a regulator of pressure, pressure in fuel system should decrease.
2. Repeatedly connect a vacuum hose to a regulator of pressure and check pressure in fuel system on idling turns. Disconnect a vacuum hose from a pressure regulator, thus pressure in fuel system should increase sharply to the maximum. If pressure in fuel system on idling turns too high, connect a manometer to a vacuum hose and check vacuum. If the vacuum is absent, check a condition of the switching vacuum valve (VSV).
3. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between plugs of the switching vacuum valve which should be within 30–40 Ohm.
4. Using an ohmmeter, check that windings of the switching vacuum valve are not connected to weight.
5. If pressure in fuel system too low, press return топливопровод and measure pressure. If pressure does not increase, means the fuel pump is faulty. If pressure in fuel system sharply raises, replace a regulator of pressure of fuel.
