4.11. Removal of a cranked shaft
GENERAL INFORMATION
Prevention

The cranked shaft can be removed only from the engine which has been removed from the car. Also previously it is necessary to remove a flywheel, a quencher of krutilny fluctuations, a gear belt, the oil pallet, a pipe of a maslopriyemnik with the mesh filter, the oil pump, pistons and rods, and a back cover of a cranked shaft.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before removal of a cranked shaft measure it axial люфт with use of the indicator of hour type.
2. Move a cranked shaft back against the stop and establish the indicator of hour type on 0. Then move a cranked shaft forward against the stop and write down indicator indications. If axial люфт more admissible, check the surfaces of a cranked shaft adjacent to persistent half rings, on wear. If wear is not fixed, replace only persistent half rings.
3. Measurement axial люфта a cranked shaft can be made also with use of edges щупа.
4. Mark covers of radical bearings.
5. Gradually and consistently unscrew bolts of fastening of covers of radical bearings. On the V6 engine 3VZ-FE of a cover of radical bearings are executed as the uniform block. On the V6 engine 1MZ-FE bolts of fastening of the block of covers of radical bearings are established on each side the block.
6. Remove a cranked shaft from the block of cylinders of the engine.
